Gedling Memorial Hall

GEDLING MEMORIAL HALL is 100 this year! Founded in 1924.

Gedling Ballet School began just around the corner at the community centre on Shearing Hill in 1985, transferring to its present home at the Memorial Hall in 1986.

The Memorial Hall was set up to remember those who died in World War I and was given to the Parishioners of Gedling and held in trust by Trustees appointed by All Hallows Church.

The Hall is run by a management group and overseen by the Trustees. It is used by community groups, private functions, and as a polling station.

In recent years much needed improvements have been made to the hall and it also has it is own beautiful garden (photo from June 2022).

Parents of some our present children once attended classes here at Gedling Ballet School too.

Gedling Ballet are very grateful to have use of such a beautiful and historic building in the centre of Gedling Village, our home for the past 38 years! We will celebrate this in the summer term, details still to be confirmed.
