Students have performed in a number of productions with Birmingham Royal Ballet, Northern Ballet Theatre, National Youth Ballet, English Youth Ballet, and also with English National Ballet, Nottingham Youth Dance Company, various pantomimes and local performance projects. |
Pupils are encouraged to participate in Associate Programmes and have successfully auditioned for the Royal Ballet School Junior, Mid and Senior Associate Levels, Northern Ballet Theatre, Urdang Academy and New English Contemporary Ballet Associate Programmes. |
Students have also successfully auditioned for Government funded places at Full time Vocational Schools – Royal Ballet School, Elmhurst Associate School of Birmingham Royal Ballet, Liverpool Institute for the Performing Arts, The Arts Education School Tring and London Contemporary Dance School. |
Twice an award has been given to a Gedling Ballet School student at the Young British Dancer of the Year competition (hosted by the Royal Ballet School). The school has also had an entry in the prestigious Phyllis Bedells competition (open to dancers that achieve RAD Advanced 1 with Distinction under the age of 17 years) |
